Dhoni injured his finger during the drawn first Test in Ahmedabad and the BCCI had rushed in Tamil Nadu skipper Dinesh Karthick as a cover for the injured Dhoni.

Meanwhile Hyderabad off-spinner Pargyan Ojha could make his Test debut and may just get the nod ahead of Amit Mishra for the Kanpur Test after both the Indian spinners struggled in Ahmedabad.
